    reschedule or walk-in?

    Dear All,
I was scheduled biometrics appointment while I was out of US about 6 months ago. I had asked for reschedule but I didn't get any notification. I will be in US in two months. Should I walk-in an ASC office or try to reschedule somehow? Thank you.

missed my bio appointment because i cannot travel to US!!!!

I received my conditional GD via marriage in 2012. Per received USCIS notice, after 2 years, I submitted I751 to renew my green card, but in response, USCIS admitted its mistake, stating that I should had been given a non-conditional GC in first place. However USCIS requested me to file i90 which I did. Unfortunately after doing biometric appointment I left the country for more than 2 months and meanwhile USCIS informed me that my first biometric needed to be repeated. Due to the fact that my re-entry envelope (applied via US embassy in Istanbul) is not still ready, I could not make USCIS bio appointment and USCIS denied my i90 (more details are included in the file). .What should mention to persuade the officer to reopen my case?

USCIS send my biometric appointment letter to wrong address!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

USCIS send my biometric appointment letter to wrong address!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Which was on the 06/19/2015..... Our neighbour then figure out the mails is ours on 06/29/2015.
I called USCIS customer service representative and they say I have to send in a letter of REQUEST RESCHEDULING; and my Green Card expires on 07/31/2015.
Which rescheduling will take additional time to mail and process will also take longer ,so on an so forth
Why do I have to take the trouble of rescheduling when it was their fault that I wasn't there?? This is inconvenience!!!!!!!!!!!
Can I just go in the ASC office and get my signature, photo and fingerprint done?????????????????
What to do? Your advice will be greatly appreciated ASAP. Thank You !

Don't panic if you missed biometric appointment for uscis!

For all of you who missed Biometrics appointment, here is my recent experience:

I am an international student processing my OPT application. I forgot my appointment, which was for 06/29/2015 at 201 Varick St. West Houston Street Entrance. New York, and I realized about that almost a month after, on June 24th. I was panicking without control and researching 'lucky experiences' of people in my same situation, thankfully, many people shared their experience which was very much soothing to my stress.

Today I went there and all was fine, they did took my appointment and looked at it, but didn't ask any questions. The security guard at the package checking point told me 'don't you worry about a thing, the USCIS keeps applications up to 90 days after they've received it by mail, and you didn't came so late, we had a case of someone coming here after 2 months of their appointment and they did just fine', so is not like they throw your case away immediately after you fail to show to the Biometrics appointment. The entrance guard was also very very kind and polite, and upstairs at the 10th floor, room 23, the personnel was also very kind, excellent customer service. There, I talked to another officer giving the numbers for the turns, and she told me also, that the missed appointment will not interfere with the approval of my OPT and that I shouldn't worry about it. The whole process took less than an hour and I was back at my work even earlier than usual.

I recommend getting there early morning, there's less people and no line to enter the building.

It is not good practice to miss these strict procedures, but I proved myself that even if you do, there's always another chance.

          Cheers and good luck y'all!

Rescheduling via mail took me 13 days - Do not panic!

Just thought I might share my experience for anyone who's as absent-minded as I am and missed the biometrics appointment...

Original appointment: 07/01/15 - missed it

07/06/15 - realized my mistake. Went to Brooklyn ASC for a walk-in, which did not work. The place was crowded...
The manager over there asked me to send my biometrics letter back and check the rescheduling box.

Letter sent same day to the Alexandria ASC via Fedex (very important to have a tracking number)

07/09/15 - letter received by the Alexandria ASC, FedEx notification

07/18/15 - new appointment letter received in the mail.

07/28/15 - date of new appointment. FP completed without a sweat.

Only bummer is that this may have delayed my EAD card process by a month...

                Hello all please help!!!!

                We filed form i175 07/20/2015

September 10, 2015 we contacted uscis concerning about biometric appointment letter never received.

September 28, 2015 uscis sent me an email, stating Biometrics Appointment Notice sent on August 8, 2015, and biometric appoinment scheduled on August 24, 2015
in the email they also wrote "However, you did not appear at your appointment. Your appointment has been rescheduled. You will receive your new Biometrics Appointment Notice in a separate mailing."

We called uscis today September 30th, they told us our case were pending since they did mail us the letter and we have to wait 6 weeks for a decision.

Have anyone experience this? Without the biometric letter can we still go there like everyone talking about in this thread and get a biometric done on a Wednesday?

Please help. Thanks you so much in advance
