Help&Info please: Sponsor my parents who's not in US, is file I-130 the first step?

Hi,

My parents are not in US. I want to sponsor green cards for them. After doing research, first step seems to be to file I-130 (for each of them). After it's approved, I'll receive I-797, which will tell me the next step (CP). Is that correct?

In another word, do I need to do anything else besides filling I-130 to start the GC process? Do I need to fill Affidavit of Support (form I-864) together with I-130?

Yes I'm a citizen. Now I'm clear. I should file I-130 and wait USCIS to instruct me for the next step.
