  • Need answers: APPLYING FROM U.S. TERRITORY

I need help. I'm apply on behalf of my husband and we are living in the U.S. Territory, which has its own Immigration system for now. We can file concurrently if spouse is already in the U.S.

    1. Does anyone know if being in a U.S. territory the same as being in the "U.S."

    2. Also, he doesn't have an I-94 number or an "A" number.

    3. how long does family based applications take for I-130 + I-485?

    4. Affidavit of Support - i am including my husband's annual wages to qualify over 125% of poverty level. Requirement is that that his earnings must come from the same source. What if we decided to move to another place, and we both need to find new jobs. Is it okay as long as we are earning above the 125% or are we risking going to jail? We are both permanent in our jobs right now, but unhappy and want to move thats the whole reason for applying green card, isn't it? for better life?

I had planned to apply concurrently but need answers to this question and maybe more. Thanks alot!

Type NONE in the field, don't leave it blank.

depends, fastest from 60 days to eternity. most cases get done in 3 months, tho, provided one does not get stuck in name chek

don't worry, one can change jobs while Gc is in process, it's not in your hands, if a layoff happens etc. all that you need to do is take the new emp's letter with proof of patstubs to the interview. btw, even if you don't change jobs, the sponsor has to still take a new copyof emp letter and recent paystubs as proof of ongoing work.
