I am not an attorney but as far as I can reason, by the time they process your gc,( takes a few weeks after entry), your marriage will be 24 months old , so you should get a 10 yr gc.
I suggest you do not travel so close to the expiry of your immigrant visa.
In the event of an eventuality , god forbid, sickness or any other problems may delay your departure and lead to an expiry of your visa.
Ideally, you should wait for your gc before you leave US. Or how else will you reenter US? Or if it is so urgent to leave US before you get your gc, have someone in US courier it to you in INDia.
Your departure before you get your gc won't affect your gc but you will have to make sure you get it by mail , so you can reenter US.
