ok, my husband was born in islamabad, pakistan in 1978. his birth certificate is handwritten and really really basic - date of birth, mothers name, fathers name. it is stamped by the hospital and also attested to by some official or other. will this suffice to submit? i 've seen a few people mention affidavits for birth certificate. I believe this information would be verifiable, its just not very official looking. anyone have this same experience?

update: big problems - the doctors out until the end of the month so we can't do the medical exam until first week of june.

my passport expires in july and it will take 3 months processing (i will just have it expedited for additional fees).

affidavit of support - still no word on whether or not we will need to do I-864A for my husband who is helping me meet the 125% poverty requirement. confused about "accompanying child."

thanks alot. don't think we will make the deadline before the increase in fees, which means we might even have to delay the process until we save up a bit more, but this website is super helpful and you don't really know how much but i walked in here not knowing anything at all...so thanks!

..Get a certificate of birth from Munipal Council where he was born, his Hospital proof is sufficient for secondary evidence of proof of birth. He needs to show primary and secondry date of births.like school leaving certificate or matriculation where his d.o.b is mentioned.(remmebr two proofs)
