F1 to Pending PR with Work Authorization

I'm a US citizen. My wife was in the US on F1. We got married and filed 485 and 765 concurrently. The 765 was approved and she received her work card. The 485 interview is next month. She has graduated from school since.
She got a job with a company and the employer wants to know about her status, specifically relating to 'export controls'. The question is whether she is a us citizen, PR, etc OR if she is non-immigrant.
Does anyone know exactly what status she is? Is "pending 485" considered an immigrant status?

she can work, the employer better know what the "Status" is of such people. She's not from mars. EAD gives her the right to work anytime in the USA even with a pending interview.
