petition under way wife losing job!

Ok so my petition is underway and it looks like my wife might lose her job in about a month and a half.
Will this affect our petition, seeing as she had to provide proof of employment?
gonna ask my lawyer tomorrow, but until then, anybody help?

We are in the same situation. I filed a petition for my mother (UCIS recv'd July 18 th)but my husband had just lost his job. He's employed until September. Maybe some members have experienced or might have a comparable idea on how this would work. We have some savings, no credit (792 credit score), no car payments (owned 2 vehicles), 50k home equity line available & we only owe 78k on our mortgage. My husband can get a job but he would like to go to nursing school for 22mos full time as soon as possible to save for retirement. Anyway, their is a very good lawyer that we would like to get a hold of. Good luck to us.

If your wifes is petitioner and her previous three years income is above the poverty line then it is fine.. and in the mean time start finding her the job... thats the best way to be...
