  • I130 petition for spouse

    Hi
I am currently 3 yrs into my green card which I legaly recieved through my employer. My husband is currently on a f1 and we are just about 1 yr into our marriage. I would appreciate if someone could let me know if I am eligible to apply for my husband and how do I go about it. Do I have to go through a lawyer or is it simple enough to send it by myself.
Also I would like to know if form G-325A (biographic information) for both me and my spouse also needs to be sent along with i130.
I would appreciate any help regarding this.

    Thanks

    3) Do I have to fill in 2 forms 325A one for my spouse and one for myself.
    4) Is it advicable to apply for 485 as well in the package

Okay. Well this is what I know...

1-you are eligible only to petition for your wife for I-130. As long as you are a GC holder, I don't think you can apply for the I-485.

2-yes, a G-325 must be filled out by you and your spouse for the I-130

3-going through a lawyer is advisable, especially in situations like these. because you aren't a USC, I would really get one.
