AOS fee info rcv'd what is the DS-3032 form?

Hello,

I am a USC I filed for my husband who is in Jamaica back on 11/06. Rcv'd notice that application was approved 06/07. Last night rcv'd letter to send $70 for AOS application fee.

I do not understand what the DS-3032 application is can anyone explain?

Hi Dimples,

DS-3032 is the choice of agent form - this means you have to select an agent for your husband's application. The agent is the person with whom the National Visa Center will communicate and send all necessary paperwork to be completed. You as the petiotioner can also be the agent for your husband's application - in fact, the NVC prefers that an agent be somebody here in US so that it is easy for them to communicate. If you are not comfortable with all the paperwork to be filled in and stuff then you can hire an agent as well. Remember, the DS-3032 form has to be signed by your husband and not you. Signature has to be original.

So the NVC will send the form to my husband to fill out and he can put my information on the form and send it to address provided? Since he's in Jamaica can I fax him the information to fill out and sign? Do it need to notarized?

Yes, NVC will send a copy of the DS-3032 form to your husband. However, yes, you can fax a copy of the form to your husband provided that the NVC has sent you a copy of DS-3032 with your husband's application bar code on it...

But your husband has to send the form back to NVC with his original signature on it. No, the form need not be notarized and you as the petitioner must not sign the form.
