Is there any alternative means for replacing Birth certificate if the Birth was not registered . Also since i am staying US and it is hard to get to a remote place in India since no one resides in that place. Is it possible to get any letter from the Indian embassy?

Hi Sudharao,

A birth certificate can be replaced with affidavits from 2 people who might have been present at the birth event of the applicant OR have accurate knowledge of the same event. Also, they should prove that in writing in the notarized affidavit document. Also, they should be able to produce photographs showing their long-term relationship with the applicant.
