Our son is US citizen. He wants to sponsor us for US Green Card. We are residing in India. Myself is a kenyan Citizen whereas my wife is Indian Citizen. I am staying in India since 2002 with PIO and registration with the Foreigners Registration office. Since 2002, both of us have been submitting regular Income tax Rreturns in India. Can our son apply for Green Cards for both of us together? Will my tax returns submitted in India will serve the purpose or they will insist on Tax returns in Kenya. Meanwhile we had been to USA twice and returned to India.
Should we go there, stay in US and he applies for our Green card while we are there or should we continue to stay in India and he applies while we are in India.
