Hi,
I have a problem with affidavit of support. My husband just lost his job. I stay home with 2 small children. He'll be going to school as a registered nurse for 22 mos. full time. We will have enough to live out of our assets, saving and scholarships. I understand that we can use my sister-in-law to file the affidavit of support. She owns her own business and makes 65-85k a year.
I spoke to a lawyer & told him how much we have & he said if the assets are enough I don't probably need to provide a sponsor. I ask him what is the amount the immigration wants to see. I told him how much we have but he said he want to see the papers for him to figure out if the assets are sufficient .
With all of these, documents. Is there anything that can go wrong with how the officer approve a visa? He said that parents never rejected a visa.
Thanks in advance,
Mary
