IV Form DS230 question - urgent please

Hi,

I am filling up form DS230 for my mother. My mother is 70+ years old and does not remember the birth dates of her father and mother; no one who is alive remembers.

In the form they ask for the parents birth dates. Is it acceptable to say Do not know? Has anyone had any experience with this?

Yes, that will do. There is nothing else one can do if the dates are not available and it is perfectly reasonable in case of elderly parents.
