  • Oregon I-485 case transferred to California

We live in Oregon state and I applied GC (I-130, I-485, I-131 and others) for my mother at National Service Center (MSC) in Chicago. I just got the case update email stating:

we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action.

Wondering is this normal given Oregon is in jurisdiction of Nebraska Service Center (NSC). Shouldn't they have transferred the case to NSC vs. CSC? Do we need to worry and try contacting them to have it moved to right service center?

Any comments/pointers will be much appreciated.

Hi, I sent the I130 for my brothers to Texas (I live in FL) and they transfered to California too. I am assuming that because the backlog that they had from July, the are distributing the work load between the different centers. Does anyone has any further information about this?

Hey, Live in PA and I applied for my brothers (I-130) to the Vermont service center and they moved it to California service center.
I think they do it deliberately because California is still processing 2001 whereas vermont is now at jan 2009 applications.
So they probably do it to put someone at the back of the line.

Then my question is..whose application gets processed at Vermont service center?? who are those lucky ones??

      Anybody knows??
