HI,
I am currently on H1-B visa.My H1 expires in october 2007.My wife got her citizen ship in April 2007 and i have filed for Family based Green card in July 2007 July. Applied ofr I485, I-130, I-131 and affdavit of support as House hold income as my wife does not work. I did not apply for EAD.Do i have to apply for EAD or do i automatically get EAD once my green card gets approved??. I got my receipt notice for 485 and i-130.on the other hand my employer has filed my GC and i got my labour approved on Augut 17th 2007. My question is is there going to be problem as i did not file for my EAD. Should i apply for it any how or is it OK if i do not.If i get my EAD what happens to my H1 ? do i still have to work for my employer or can i change jobs and go for permanet positions?? Can i travel to india if needed before i get my GC. Thanks in advance for any help.
