My Sister (who is a US citizen) has applied for my mother's greencard who is in the US on Tourist visa. Since my mom is in the US, both the I-130 and I-485 appplications were sent togeather. I have couple of questions
1) Do you know how long it would take to get the GC approved.
2) Since my mom may need an operation and since she has applied for Advance Parole, she is planning to travel to India. If GC gets approved during that time, does she need to return back immediately to take up interview. Can the interview be postponed for sometime based on medical grounds?
