I just realized that I posted this in the wrong forum...so here goes again...
Whats going on with the CA Service Center? My BF has a family sponsored GC application in (I-130?? Single and over 21) to the Californa Service Center, with a reciept date of April, 2005. I don't know if he got a specific priority date (is that when they tell you "your application will be processed in X amount of days?) If so, it was 990 days, which would put it in December of this year I guess.
Anyway, when checking the processing times on the website (the USCIS website I think it was) it still says January, 2003. It hasn't moved. Not for a long long long time supposedly.
Is that accurate?? Are they just not working?? What are they doing that it's taking so long and does that mean that his application will not be reviewed for another year or so, on top of the 2 years it's already taken, instead of in December as they had said???
What's going on in CA. The other centers are moving, or so I've heard, so whats wrong with CA??
Oh, and BTW, we're both residing outside of the USA. I'm a US citizen, he is obviously not. I'm just inquiring about all of this to have a better understanding of whats going on. I don't know if that would make a difference in your answer, but just thought I'd include it anyway.
