Hello,

My mom in the country on Visitor Visa which expires in 6 weeks or so. I applied for the I-130 and got the receipt but didnt know i had to fill out additional forms with the I-130.

1. What are the other forms needed?
2. Can my mom legally stay here after the Visitor Visa expires as long as the application is in process?

File the form I-485 and she will be allowed to stay here legally until a decision is made (approved or denied).

You also have to file G-325a, I-864 and I-693s for her.

Another question

Hi,

Do i have to do the I 693(medical form) before i file for the I485 or can i do it after i do the I485? I need to fill out the I-485 ASAP so i was hoping i didnt have to do the medical exam first. Please let me know.

You need to send the I-693 completed, with the I-485, AT THE SAME TIME.
