  • Marrying GC holder, have B1 Visa

    Please advise.
I have a 10 year multiple entry visa for US. I am working in Wipro India and my company got me a US business visa stamped.
My parents are arranging a marriage with a guy in US. He has a green card and says that he still has 2.5 years before his citizenship application. ( he has been on green card for 2.5 years now)
If i get married and use my Business visa to enter US how long will i be allowed to stay?
If i get a 6 months entry first time can i go to Mexico/Canada and come back again and get another 6 months. Will i be able to do this for 2 years till my would be husband gets his citizenship?
Your advise will be really helpful, for it is an arranged marriage and i am well settled here in India and don't want to get married and get stuck with visa issues in US.
Please help my future depends on your answers.
    Thank you for your help.

Already replied to this in the B1 visa sub-forum.

If you are well settled in India, then you are better off staying there. You will face many problems trying to live in the US with a B1 visa (which you can't anyways).

No work, no study, no living... not with a B1 visa.
