  • Adjustment of Status Processing Time (I-751 Application)

I married a US Citizen 2+ years ago and received my temporary green card which expires August 2007. I applied in June 2007 and already received the receipt notice + finger printing date within 1 week. I am looking at the USCIS website for processing times and it says they are still looking at January 2007 applicants, which logistically makes no sense. I am guessing this information is completely useless and holds no real meaning.

If that is the case, does anyone know how long does it take to get the permenant green card on a I-751 application?

There are no complexities on my application. This is a pretty straight forward case.

There is no telling. But do not worry, after you have been a resident for 2 years and 9 months, you can file for citizenship (N-400) and if your I-751 is still pending, it is then forced to be approved.

So, you got 1 year extension, and in less than that, you will be filing for US Citizenship. Don't break a sweat.
