Marriage to GC holder

The girl I am getting married to has GC. Does this mean I will get GC after marriage? Do I need to stop GC process my company has stared and switch to some other process?

Marriage to GC holder

The girl with GC can petition your GC application but it will take 5 years or so for the whole processing. You must keep a valid visa status (H1 or etc...)until you receive a GC.
However, the things will be different if you get married to a USC. The waiting time would be a lot less than getting married to a GC holder.
