I'm a US Citizen. My Mother of 75 years of age came to visit me through a B2 visitor's visa from Syria. I decided to keep her here, as she has been living alone back home.
I went ahead and submitted on her behalf I-485, G325, I-130, I-864, pictures and the fees etc at the local ins office.
We have received a letter and a receipt from the INS showing an A# and stating to wait for six month for a notification. So far it has been two month since the filing date, and her I-94 will be expiring in a month and a half from now.
While we are waiting for her pending adjustment decision, do we need to apply to extend her visitor status stay using form I-539?
If so, what are her chances in getting the extension?
