New Dehli application rules for filing I-130

Hello All,

I mailed the visa form I-130 for my Wife and its been 6 weeks. There is no sign of receipt and I found out today that it may take up to 15 weeks. I wanted to file for K3 visa once I get my receipt. How long does this process take? Like most people I want to bring my wife here ASAP.

Anyway, My question is I heard that if I file in New Dehli I can bring my wife with me. Can you tell me what are the rules?

I believe you are talking about Direct Consular Filing (DCF) where you file I-130 overseas and it is different from Counselor processing (CR/ IR) and K-3 Visa. DCF is quickest ways to bring spouse but VERY MUCH depends on consulate and their policies that change time to time.

I want to apply at Consulate in India but I cant stay there for a long time. I was there for about 35 days for my wedding but now I am back in US. How much longer do I have to stay so I can apply at the Consulate so I can speed up the Spouce Visa Process.
