I have been living in the US since 2000 on an H-1B visa (my current status). I got married to a US citizen in April. I want to now apply for a green card. Here are my questions:
1.How long would it take for me to get the Green card in Boston? VSC
2. Do I have to apply from Boston? Can I apply from someplace else and get it quicker?
3. What difference would it make if I hire an attorney to file my case for me as apposed to me filing the paperwork myself? Does it expidite the process in any way?
4.What happens if I get laid off or have to move somewhere else during the processing of my green card?
5. What other steps can I take to ensure that the process is expedited? (Location of application? Having an attorney? etc.)
6. What are the typical attorney fees for GC applications? Any recommendations for Boston area?
