My boyfriend's mother is a US Citizen. She petitioned for his green card in 2005. Reciept was April, 2005 I think. It was an I-130. He is over 21 and not married.
I'm sure you all know that the CA Service Center has listed Jan. 17, 2003 FOREVER on their processing times sheet. When his app was recieved, he seems to remember them saying it would be processed in X amount of days (whatever it was, it would have put his processing date at December of this year) but the CA Service center is STILL, and has been for God knows how long, on January 17th, 2003.
Does this mean that they have to go from Jan 17th, 2003, to April ?, 2005 until it will be processed? If it took them practically a year to get from Jan 16th to Jan 17th, will he EVER be processed??
Please, someone shed some light on this matter. At this rate, he won't have his GC for another few hundred years.
Oh, and the most common response I get is "why don't you guys just get married?" My response: we shouldn't have to. He is entitled to be with his family, who are citizens.
Not gonna get married for papers, so don't suggest it, lol
