Amended documents in filing of Green Card

I married my wife overseas (I'm a born US citizen) and we have gone through the process of applying for an immigrant green card (I-130 petition etc). The US Embassy has sent the Packet 3 to my wife. My wife has had to amend her birth certificate because it was recorded wrong when she was born. How do we present this new information to INS? The English translation is correct, but the original language birth certificate was wrong and we are taking steps to amend and attest to that birth certificate being wrong.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
