you should not be worried at all, just get a certified copy from your home country, or the embassy that represents your country in us, that you are not married legally there... and even if you stated something on the application that you are married, and if you really weren't says nothing , ofcourse... if you were married, then you might have problems with polygonomy

I hate to rain on your parade, but this IS a problem... and it should not be taken lightly...
You technically LIED, when you stated that you were married (when in fact you were not). And that may have had an impact on you receiving your visa...
example: If I was an Visa Officer, I would be more likely to give a visa to a married man (whose wife is not traveling with him) than a single man.
So, you need to find a lawyer, and get counsel from him/her on this. Once you file for AOS (i-485 + i-130) and declare yourself as married, you will probably receive a letter from USCIS asking for a copy of your previous marriage's divorce certificate (which you do not have, because it never existed) and then... you are in quite a predicament.
Get a lawyer.Disclaimer: The information you obtain from me at this forum is not, nor is it intended to be, legal advice. You should consult an attorney for individual advice regarding your own situation.
