Just got an interview- PLEASE HELP

Hi, my mom and my brother just got an interview today for greencard. My Stepfather sponsor for both of them and since my brother is 17 years old, he can also be included with my mom petition. My step father doesn't work, he received the SSI from the government so he doesn't have any income. I have a co sponsor for your application.
THey took the interview today, everything went OK ( they said). They answered all of the question wisely. THe officer handled them a paper saying that our sponsor doesn't make enough money to sponsor for my mom and my brother so they give us a month to find a " asset prove" from my sponsor. I guess I can be able to find that because they only need the stament from the banking saying he has a certain amount of money in this bank. iT can be done. My question is : they never took the I 94 from my mom and my brother, they never stamp on the passport saying they did make an interview and the case 's pending. THe officer didn't explain to me anything else others than just submit the application. THe problem is they never took my I 94 or stamp anything on the passport. IS this normal? Can they denial my application even after I submit all of the required document?? PLease help. I am very confused>

They should have taken I-94 card and stamp passport for pending I-551 but anyway, they gave you a month to submit required document (s), so do it as soon as possible. You can also be a joint-sponsor.
