I have a pending application for AOS on the basis of marriage to USC, my I 130 is approved but my name got stuck at fingerprint. At the interview we foundout that my middle name was spelled wrong so after interview I made a request to correct my name. Now they want me to take an infopass appointment and visit New Orleans office personally. I want to know if I will have to do all the applications again? as I heard in some cases they make applicant to through the whole process again, is that correct? will I be able to renew my EAD in that case?

Very important
It's very important that you do get this done now, else they'll not correct it later and send you the GC with the incorrect middle name/initial.
Thereafter it will be a very long [though no cost to you] process to get it corrected.
No, there's no re-filing of the application. It's only the part of correction of your middle name/initial based on supporting documentation that they will require for the same.
Good luck.Last edited by knowledgeable; 12-01-2007, 08:44 AM.

I have taken an infopass appointment on 19th which is the same date for my EAD renewal finger print. I heard that once they put the right name and new finger print they will try to see again why my name got stuck. Lets see....I will keep updating so that other people can get information
