initial interview help

i came to united stated last year in jan 06 on f1 but did get out of status for a year before i got married to us citizen in july 07. i had my intial interview on 28th nov . they did not tell us whther its approved or not just that they will contact us in a month. is it normal for immigration not to give any results on the interview day?does me being out of status will come into picture or not?

p.s i have my ead though/but i have losy my i 94 cardwhat shld i do ..will i need it in future or just in case i get approved i wont need it.
