Public assistance

Dear Srr/Madam,
I am a US citizen and am in the process of bringing my brother+his family as immigrants. Is it possible for them to apply for public assistance once they are here? I have filed I-864, so I am financially responsible for them, but my brother doesn’t speak English, so having to support them is going to be tough.

No, they can't apply for public assistance.

He will have to either support himself or you will have to do that. If none of them is possible, don't sponsor.
