Help with supporting documents
My husband wants to file for an AOS for me (I am a doctoral student, I've been in the US for the past 8 years and married almost a year), which is fine except that I'm wondering whether we have enough supporting documents. He's a student at another school, so right now we see each other on weekends and he is not on my apt lease agreement. He also did a semester abroad, so I didn't see him for almost 6 months. We don't have any joint property either, literally the only thing we have together is a savings account. Also, I use my married name in social settings, but I didn't legally change it (for career purposes - all my publications are in my maiden name). So I guess my question is, what are other possibilites for supporting documentaion? Does it even make sense to file now considering all this?
