I'm a USC and I applied GC for my Mom. She had her fingerprint done in Nov. Recently, we got two notices (one for I130 and one for I485) from USCIS saying her case was transferred to California office from National Benefits Center(also known as MSC). What's the next step will be for my Mom's case? Does she need an interview? I heard some people saying they got their greencard in mail without any interview. Does someone has the same experience? I'm planning a trip for my Mom to go back home country to see her eye docotor in next two months. But, I'm not sure if she must have an interview or not. Very appreciate your help and advice!

Sometimes it is transfered to local offices to speed up the process.
Make sure your mom DOES NOT leave the country without an approved Advance Parole document (i-131) otherwise her case will be considered abandoned.Disclaimer: The information you obtain from me at this forum is not, nor is it intended to be, legal advice. GC application for my Mom
Thanks for your prompt reply. very appreciate it. My mom has her I131 approved already. Do you have any idea if USCIS will grant GC for senior people without interview? or it depend case by case? If there is interview, what are the common questions USCIS usually asks? My Mom does not understand English. Can I be her translator for the interview or I need to have someone else to be her translator? Thanks.
