  • Illegal husband

Hello, I really need help. I married my husband in July of 2005. He had been here illegal about 2 times when he got sent back to Mexico in November 2003. During the time he was in Mexico, we met and he came here illegal again. In October 2004, I found out I was pregnate. In Dec. 2004 we left to Mexico and he tried coming back illegal again. This was in May, a month before I was due. During the time he was trying to come back, he got caught by immigration about 3 times so that was a total of 4 times being caught. I have heard stories about him being permanently barred for 10 years. I don't know if that is true!! My sister-n-law came in illegal and got caught 5 times and she got her PR, but got a punishment of 5 months. Currently, I am waiting for the interview in CDJ, but I'm not sure if he should even go. What do you all recommend?

he is your husband, you got a child with him, go to the interview.

get a lawyer and find out exactly if he is banned from returning or not.

Yes, we have a two year old. Would it help us if we own 3 car dealerships and 3 properties? Every lawyer we have went to tells us the he will have a permanent bar of 10 years, but my sister-n-law came back and she got caught 5 times and my brother-n-law just came back and he had been here for over 7 years. I know we will be getting his interview appointment in about 3 months so we don't know if we should go or not.

you must go. property/dealerships make no difference.

Is there anything we can do to increase our chances of being accepted?

He was just gotten by the boarder patrol and then released the same day. We're just not sure if we want to risk getting the 10 year ban for him entering illegal and getting caught by boarder patrol.
