    • NVC Case Number

My I-130 & I-129F (K-3) cases got approved by USCIS on 4/3/08. I still haven't heard from NVC yet; it still has not assigned a case number to my case. Do you think it's gotten lost or USCIS never sent it? Is anybody else still waiting on NVC?? This is so frustrating. I don't know what the hell to do.

      • Cincy,
Mine got approved on 8th April and I already have received the fee bill and paid it as well. You may want to call USCIS first and then NVC as well.

It wouldn't feel so bad if this had not been the second time i have been burned by USCIS. It took two and a half years for them to process my citizenship application.

              • Hi there!

                Here's my case (VSC):

                RD: 9/22/07
                NOA1: 1/3/08

And now still waiting for the NOA2.

I believe, my case is similar with CHPNAC. and he's already got his approval note. So I hope i'll get mine soon. Been seperated with my husband for 8 months!!!

                FRUSTRATED_ALOT: any update?

Nope, i am on the same boat as you. No updates but I have already started being proactive. I have already asked my congressman's office to check on my case.

                      • Well, how do I explain this. My husband filed I-129 in September, but we didnt get any updates from them, so he filed another one in December, thinking that the 1st one might get lost in the mail. Anyway, it turns out that they have approved my 2nd case, while the 1st one still pending. I dunno how it happened, but 1 thing for sure, the processing time is nothing near accurate!

                        NOA 2 May 2, 2008

I'm still waiting for the letter from NVC. How long does it take usually? And I read from you guys experience, usually they will ask for some more paper in the NOA 2 letter, but how come they didnt?

Cincy: have you gotten the case # from NVC?

Vermont Service Center is all mixed up. They claim to be processing one date but they are actually way ahead but still have not processed my case received in November as yet. I am tempted to do the I129F for my husband but i keep thinking that i have been waitign this long, something is going to happen. i am going to wait and see what their processing time is like next time they post then decide.

There is no charge and looks like that is faster at VSC center

                                Karen,

Yes I finally got the case number at the end of April, about a month after the case was approved by USCIS. Most everybody else has been getting their's within 2 weeks. By the way, you need to keep calling NVC to find out your case number; they won't send you anything until your I-129F has been forwarded to the embassy. Also, the automated system does not track the I-129F, you have to speak to an operator.
