Hi,

Background: I am on H1b getting married to USC and we both have IL drivers licence (our wedding will be in IL as well in few days) but I am currently working on project in TX

Questions:

1) Do we have to get TX Drivers licence to apply for GC here in TX?
2) what would you suggest on applying from IL (or) TX as in which state process will be faster?
2) As i will be here in TX for another 4 months, what will you suggest? to apply after going back to IL (or) apply end of Feb from TX itself?
3) If you can give me details on what documents are required to apply + forms to submit i will appriciate it
4) Do i have to hire an attorney (or) is it easy to do it ourself?
5) If i apply end of Feb, when can i travel outside USA as my H1b visa is not stamped?

2) what would you suggest on applying from IL (or) TX as in which state process will be faster? Either one, wherever you plan on residing for the next 6 months.
2) As i will be here in TX for another 4 months, what will you suggest? to apply after going back to IL (or) apply end of Feb from TX itself? You will need to be in the same state for at least 6 months. So apply from IL.

5) If i apply end of Feb, when can i travel outside USA as my H1b visa is not stamped? whenever you apply, you will file for EAD (Work permit) and AP (travel document). You should receive both within 60-90 days.

This is what i understood:
1) File I-130 along with I-485 + I-131 + I-765 ? Is there any other form which i am missing?
2) Including proof of family relationship (Do i have to submit marriage pictures (or) any other proof beside what mentioned in section A)?
3) Make 2 copies of everything i sent and send Original (or) copies? Please explain
4) Mail to Chicago Lockbox?
5) Do we have to submit I-864 (Affidavit of support)? as I am working, ,do i have to show Financial support such as this?
