Question abut Filing for my children

I have a question about filing my children. My wife just got naturalized and I am overstayed here. This is my second marriage and I have three kids. My previous wife was passed away.

Now my current wife is going file for me. Can she file for her step-songs as well? Or my children have to wait for my approval?

Please let me know before I file?
