  • Father's interview... no decision??

Me and my father went to the interview today. The lady asked for original birth certificate of both, W2 paystub etc. She asked me several other questions regarding where I stay etc. I provided all the information.

She took AP- travel document, I-94 and said "I have all the information I need and interview is complete... you will receive a notification in mail if we need any more information"

She inquired about my mother's interview and I told her that my mother's GC was approved without an interview and card is already in hand.

What do I need to do?? Was the interview approved (passport not stamped).

well it is impossible to know for sure, but since the officer took the EAD and AP. You can know that most likely the namecheck cleared and also that they will probably approved it (otherwise she would not have taken away those documents.)

Like I said, it is impossible to know, but most likely she do not have enough authority or rank to approve a case, so she will pass the case to her supervisor for review and he will approve it.

So do not worry too much. Parent greencards are not usually denied. All you can do now is wait. You should hear something in the mail soon and you can also track the status online.
