  • Need Help, question about conditional green card

I need Help regarding the conditional green card. I have applied for the extension for my green card. I have received the green card by marriege to a US citizen. Intially I reveived it for two years. Then I applied for extension on January 3oth 2007. I received the letter saying the extension for one year. I never got any final deceison on this. Now I have applied for the citizenship, and my extension is going to expire on 14th April 2008. what should I do now. Should I apply again for extension, or wait?. I have not received anything regarding the citizenship except the intial letter with recipt number. Please , Please suggest me, or advice me regarding this. Any coments will be appreciated. Thanks

Since your I-751 is still pending, but you have applied for citizenship, this will make your I-751 be adjudicated. Do not worry. I would make a visit to my local USCIS office, to get I-551 stamped on your passport, while you wait.

It is a stamp that serves as evidence of your status as a permanent resident. For up to 1 year.

Why dont' you and your wife just file to have the conditions removed from your greencard?
