My husband and I have been married for 12 years . We have 1 child and one on the way. When we got married I knew my husband was married before and had a child. He told me that we had to lie and say he did not because he could not get poof that he was divorced. I stupid believed him . It turns out that he was still married and we were trying to get married fast because we felt it would help him. Whatever the reasons it is done.
Years ago we tried to change it because we realized that we would never be able to bring his son here. The lawyer we consulted said forget it.
So 12 years later his sons aunt applied for him to come here. We do not know all the details because they obviously are not sharing. But they applied and found out what he did. They basically said get a lawyer.
We do not know if that means it was reported to the government. If they put in an application and they are now going to come looking for us.
Help please. I can't afford an attorney. I do not know what to do.
