  • I-130 question please? Part B, question 13

My husband was not born in the USA but is USC through his parents. So the question #13...My citizenship was acquired through --> we checked 'Parents' and then there's the question about certificate of citizenship. He never got any. Should we just check No and not worry about it? He has his US passport as a proof of citizenship, that enough?
    Thanks a lot!

He was never naturalized. Born as Thai/US citizen (his father was American). Got his US passport in Thailand and came to live in USA 13 years ago. So yes, US citizen born abroad.

Check parents and put NO. The passport will be sufficient.
