My father submitted a petition for his three children when we were all under age. We are now over 21 and my understanting is that we then fall into a different category. We have been waiting for almost 12 years and the only thing we have received is a notice of action stating that the petition was approved with a priority date of 5/6/96. My brother got married to a USC and was told to re-start the process because under my father everything was lost due to his marriage. I been living in this country for most of my life and at this point I am desperate and do not know what I should do: keep waiting or just go back to Mexico. During this time, I obtained a bachelors degree and am now working on my masters. Does anyone know if my education can help speed up this long process?

You all probably aged out and can no longer benefit from this petition. You certainly need to get all your facts together and speak with an immigration attorney to assess the situation.Disclaimer: The information you obtain from me at this forum is not, nor is it intended to be, legal advice.
