Hello i was dragged here when i was 9 years old on my fathers Work Vista H1 i believe. My parents split up a few years ago and now the sponsor for my father is closing his company. I was told that there was a lawyer working on our case to receive a green card but last night i was told that the it will not work.
Can someone please tell me of anything i may be able to do to not have to go back, because i barely even speak the language now and i have no idea what would happen to me if i went back. I go to college and working on my associates right now for Computer Science and since back in my country they haven't caught up with technology i dont think i could even get a job. and i believe im on a H4 visa atm.

If you are in college, you should change your status to F-1.

yes in college, but i would still have to leave the country after i finished my degree right? is there anyways that i might be able a permanent resident status or is f1 my only option to stay here for a few more years and then id have to go back? oh and my grandmother and my dads sister are citizens already someone said that could help aswell.
