  • G325A with I-130

    Hi,

I wonder if anyone could help me. On the G325A that's submitted with my I-130 where it says

'This form is submitted in connection with an application for:'

    Which box should I tick?

Should I tick other and specify it's for the I-130 form?

    Many thanks

    John.

Also, while I'm being clueless, do I need to summit both the back and front of my US wife's birth certificate and the front and back of our marriage certificate? I seem to be finding conflicting views on this.

    Thanks.

Yes, that's correct, on the G-325A submitted with the I-130, tick "Other" and write "I-130 petition" in the blank. If you're submitting another G-325A with the I-485 form, then tick "Status as Permanent Resident".

As for the front and back of marriage and birth certificates, I would say it won't hurt to have both, better submit more info than less and then get an RFE. I only submitted the fronts, because the backs were... blank, but I assume different states have different formats for certificates.

        Thanks for your help.

Also, when copies of passports are asked for, which part of the passport? I keep reading conflicting things and the USCIS instructions only say copy of passport.

Obviously they want the photo page with the biographic information but do they want anything else? I've read about people copying all the pages. People just sending the pages with stamps in. So I'm getting a little confused.

        Thanks
        John.

My understanding is that only the biographic page is needed. Again, I'm also under the impression that more info can't hurt, so if you're comfortable, send in the other pages, with the stamps. But honestly, they already probably have all the info on your entries/departures anyway. I guess if they wanted the entire passport, instructions to that effect would have been included in the USCIS forms.
