Timeline to get Green Card after I130 approval

My I-130 got approved on Apr 22 2008. My wife is a US citizen. I had file I-485 with all the other forms in December 2007. I was wondering how long does it take to get 485 approved after I-130 is approved.

Just today I got a job offer which requires me to have Green Card. I have to join June 1st week. Do you think I can get my Green Card before joining ?


I was looking for what other people timelines were, how long did it take to get Green card approval after I-130 approval ?

Any help is much appreciated.

The timeline varies with your service center ( CA, NE, TX, VT) and also with each case. Some cases take longer because of background check.

You should have applied for EAD( Employment Authorization Document )with your I-485 . EAD is granted in 90 days and you can work with it anywhere.
You should apply for EAD now if you have not applied for it.
Because no one can tell you with certainty how long it will take your GC to come. First they will call you for an interview.

I already have EAD, but this position required Green Card Holders. Also I already went for the interview with my wife for I-130 approval.

Any more input will be much appreciated

Talk to your employer that an EAD legally allows you to work anywhere.

hello ,i am new here ,i have a receit date for i 130 wich is november the 2nd of 2009,i have a daughter ,does any one have an idea how long do i have to wait to get the i 130 approved ,your answear will be appreciated.
