    Dear Sir/Madam

My mother is in the US on Visitor Visa. She has been here for 5 months and I am filling here I-130, 485, 131 forms.

    On the I-130, line 22
Complete the information below if your relative is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status.

    (a) Your relative is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident at the USCIS office in:

    (b) If your relative is not eligible for adjustment of status, he or she will apply for a visa abroad at the American consular post in:

    For (a) I am filling Chicago,IL

Question : Should I fill (b) or say N/A since I am applying for adjustment of status.

    Thank you

you must put your local USCIS district office. Not Chicago, IL (unless you live there).

You WILL mail the forms to Chicago Lockbox, but your interview is at your local USCIS office.

if your relative is applying for AOS (is presently in the USA). Then skip that.

          My case

And how should I complete this question if my wife is overseas and has never had a US visa? I think N/A, N/A, correct?
