  • If I translate my own document for INS, do I have to notarize the signature?

Thanks to the fellow board member who answered my question below.

I have a final question: If I translate my own documents for submittal to the INS (my understanding is that I can translate them my own self), would I need to notarize my signatures as well. Obviously, it wouldn't hurt, but is it absolutely necessary?

No need to. Just an affidavit will do.

      Thank you

Thank you for your assistance. I really appreciate it. I'm going to include that affidavit stating that I am fluent in both languages and then sign it.
