Hi there,
I am US citizen and reside in OH. My parents have visitor visa and they visited us in the month of April. I applied for their I-485 and I-130 to Chicago USCIS office. Their receipt date is Apr-28-2008. We got finger printing appointment on May-27-2008.
After finger printing, we got a letter from USCIS office which states that "This is to advise you that in order to speed up processing we have transferred the above case to the following USCIS office for processing: California Service Center, 2nd Flr, 24000 Avila Road, Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-0111". The notice date was June-03-2008. Since then we have not received any thing from USCIS.
Today is July-14-2008 and my parents will have to leave to go to India on July-28-2008. Any ideas, how do I make it happen so that they can leave as per their return date on July-28-2008. They have to go to religious events in India so I would not like to extend their stay in US.
Any help would greatly appreciated.
