  • How do we know if our incorrect details have been changed?

    Hi can anyone help with this please. When we received our receipt notice for I130 it had the wrong info on it. I was not listed as spouse. We phoned and wrote to Vermont service centre at the beginning of may to tell them I was a spouse and they sent us a notice stating this had been updated. I check my status online daily. My case has never been 'touched'. I thought they put a new date on the system everytime they do anything to your file. Does this mean my file has not been properly update? Our notice date is February and we have heard nothing else. Can anyone shed any light on this? Any clues on how much longer we will have to wait. I am worried that they are treating my file as a relative and not a spouse. Thanks

    This is a suggestion...why don't you make an infopass appointment with your local USCIS office?
