I-130 Approved, doubts...
Hello,
My situation is the following:
I currently live and work in Mexico. My wife is a US Citizen currently unemployed (for about two weeks); she will get a job soon in Los Angeles (she is living there). We got married in Chicago last November, we filed papers for my greencard last June (mailed them to the Chicago address) (filed I-130, medical examination, and all other forms).
We have been dating for more than one year and a half, and we have been constantly travelling to and from the US. I have a tourist visa.
I have a couple of questions:
1) What are the next steps? (ie Have an interview, receive green card, etc.) We received approval to our case and we were notified that our case was forwarded to the NVC.
2) Considering I don't live in the US and that we did not file for a Fiance Visa because we got married before filing all papers, should I expect the interview for both of us to be held at the Mexican US Embassy? or she is going to get an interview in Chicago / Los Angeles and me in the Mexican US Embassy?
3) We have a trip planned to New York by the end of August; now that we have our petition approved I just plan to travel with my tourist visa. Is this feasible?
Finally, I am planning to move to the US once I get my green card or employment authorization because I don't want to quit my job and be unemployed.
